Wendy PMI insurance covers the difference (and only the difference) between 20% down and 0% down (at the time of the purchase). The insurer is on the hook for that 1-20%. Someone else is responsible for the rest.

Also don't forget if your going to an EEC Country Get an EHIC It's free. Saves you money. And it's available to all UK residents. EHIC (the European Health Insurance Card) is the replacement for the E111 Form.
